We are currently hiring exceptional First Housekeepers to join our talented shipboard staff! The First Housekeeper is responsible for supervision of;

Housekeeping Supervisor

and supporting the Chief Housekeeper in the direction of the overall housekeeping function aboard the vessel, thereby helping guests have a truly memorable vacation!

Responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing audit comments, discussing with subordinate staff and implementing audit recommendations

• Continuously monitoring workstations and staff to ensure adherence to USPH procedures for sanitation and cleanliness

• Making recommendations for overtime needs to the Chief Housekeeper

• Providing on-the-job training to improve your team’s current performance, and prepare them for advancement.

• Coaching, counseling and conducting the performance appraisal process for assigned staff

• Collaborating with the Chief Housekeeper to review the requirements of the day’s housekeeping schedule, guest requirements, comments and other related details

• Overseeing the assignment of duties, responsibilities and workstations to employees.

• Ensuring sufficient staffing levels on a shift-by-shift basis to successfully execute company standards of guest service and quality

• Performing any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 1 to 2 years of cleaning experience in a high-volume hotel, (preferably 4 or 5 star hotel).

• Knowledge of proper chemical handling, proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment

• Ability to meet established timeframes for the housekeeping operation

• Demonstrated aptitude for the financial aspects of a housekeeping function, including budgeting and the successful identification of expense reduction through cost control

• Completion of high school or basic education equivalency

• Working knowledge of computers, internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Office (programs include Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

• Ability to speak read and write English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests.

This position is located onboard one of our vessels.

All International applicants must have the ability to obtain a C1D Visa

Shipboard employees must be able to physically lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without aid

Foreign language skills are preferred, but not required
