A global leading fabless semiconductor company is actively seeking for a dynamic and ambitious design engineer to join their expanding team.This position will be in charge of all RF related matters, design, optimization, development, with more junior types to assist. The successful candidate will be in charge of the design of new products (incl. antennas, PLL/loopfilters, crystal oscillators, etc.) with the need for optimization of Low Noise Amplifies, Power Amp up to FCC certification. He/She will also be in charge of leading key customers to develop their products in terms of RF/systems aspects.He/She will be actively involved in a full cycle of wireless radio product development from defining requirements for test boards, proto boards, reference designs and customer application boards, schematic entry, PCB layout, conceptualization, RF optimization including antenna/module placement, up to testing for compliance to regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities
RF troubleshooting (self-quieting, PLL performance issues due to switching phenomena, crystal oscillator design, signal integrity, etc.)
RF optimization of STS’ and customer’s products:
Antenna design and tuning to the application
RF input matching
PA harmonics optimization
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Perform RF circuit design and PCB layout of STS products and reference designs
Internal consultant for all RF related matters (range, antennas, interference aspects, wireless performance, etc.)
ualifications
At least 5 years experience in RF design, development and verification on component and system level
Must have completed the design of multiple products until MP stage (including customer qualification and regulatory compliance)
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electronics Engineering
Good communication skills in English (in addition: Chinese is preferred)
Self-starter and team worker
Detailed knowledge of RF design, measurement and optimization techniques
Detailed understanding of RF components
Detailed understanding of regulatory standards (FCC15.247, EN300328, Telec, RS210)
Knowledge of Communications Theory (Modulation techniques, propagation)
Background in e.g. the WLAN/Bluetooth/UWB industry is preferred
