Senior Designer (CRID)
Responsible for creating design directions and concepts based on research, leading project teams to create concepts into hand sketches, 2D line drawings, 3D CAD and ensure design consistency as well as intent.
Responsibilities:
• Works in a team or independently translates research into product configurations, concepts and/or design language
• Works in a team or independently to set design and creative directions
• Produces hand-sketches and visual presentation materials
• Plans project task breakdown, and holds meetings with project members to allocate project tasks to be carried out by individual members
• Prepares the project start form to kick off the design project; as well as the subsequent project report
• Monitors and maintains creative project schedules to check against project milestones and to ensure man-hours are spent within budget
• Creates the designers’ intent behind their design concepts, leads brainstorming sessions, monitors and maintains creative intent throughout the project
• Liaises with other departments for project-related support and discussions
• Monitors each subordinate’s performance against expectations so as to assist the Head of Department to assess the subordinate’s training needs
• Prepares project documentation and attend project meeting and checkpoints
Requirements:
• Bachelor/Master Degree in design-related disciplines
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge in Ideation, 2D & 3D Software and Sketching
• Has good presentation skills, leadership skills and analytical / problem solving skills
• Good knowledge of Manufacturing techniques and Mechanical approach
• Ability to do Research
