Financial Controller, Asia Pacific

Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monthly close process including review of expenses, preparation and review of journal transactions including accruals and reserves and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Review and monitor G/L account roll-ups and reporting structure for compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with the preparation or review of various journal entries during month end close process.
- Propose and implement process improvements for streamlining procedures.
- Manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Responsible for driving proper processing, billing and recognition of customer deals. This will require wide cross-functional interaction, implementation of new and improved processes (including applicable systems), good understanding of all product offerings and contract terms.
- Oversee all APAC accounting and finance matters including ongoing financial reporting to management and CFO.
- Direct all essential accounting operational functions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop methods related to providing management with information vital to the decision-making process.
- Oversee forecasting and budgeting cycles for APAC companies.
- Coordinate audit and tax work with external auditors.
- Subsidiary tax matters.
- Coordination with Human Resources on employment and outside contractor matters.
- Accounting systems implementation.
- Implementation of policies and procedures as needed.
- Support CFO, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS or BA Preferably CPA; MBA a plus.
- Software industry experience preferred.
- 8-10 years experience minimum.
- Strong systems background required.
- Must have team building skills and be able to establish rapport with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
- Some travel may be required.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and QuickBooks.
