Encore Films Pte Ltd is a films distribution business focused on bringing quality movies to the audience in the region. Our firm has consistenly acquired highly successful box office hits. In 2005, we bought in Chen Kaige’s multi-million dollar fantasy epic The Promise and we also bought in Korean super star Jang Dong Gun Star tour to promote the movie.
The first movie acquired by our firm, Wishing Stairs, was released in Singapore theatres nationwide on 13th November 2003 with resounding success, grossing S$840,000. It is currently the All Time Box Office Number One Korean film in Singapore. Our firm also brought in Brotherhood – Taegukgi, which is widely acknowledged to be one of the best movies ever to be made in Korean film history. This movie grossed close to S$600,000 to become the All Time Box Office Number Two Korean film in Singapore.
Our list of recently acquired films include April Snow starring Korean Super star Bae Yong Jun, Typhoon starring Jang Dong Gun, The Art of Seduction starring Son Ye-Jin.
