Leong Horn Kee, Chairman A Colombo Plan Scholar, Horn Kee graduated from Loughborough University of Technology in UK with a Bachelor in Technology (First Class Hons) in 1975 and has a second degree in Bachelor of Science in Economics (Hons) from London University in 1979. He has his MBA from Insead, France in 1980 on a French Post-Graduate Scholarship. Horn Kee is currently also serving as the Executive Director/Chief Operating Officer (Ventures & Business Development) of Far East Organization since 2003. His career began in the civil service in 1977 as Head (Economic Planning Unit), Ministry of Finance. In 1980 to 1983, he was the Director (Trade) of the Ministry of Trade & Industry. In 1983, he moved to the private sector joining Natsteel Ltd as a senior manager. In 1987, he joined Transtech Venture Management Ltd as its Vice-President until 1989. In 1989 to 1992, he was the director of N M Rothschild & Sons (S) Ltd. In 1993, Horn Kee joined Orchard Parade Holdings Ltd as its Managing Director/ CEO until 2002. He also became the Managing Director/ CEO of Yeo Hiap Seng Ltd in 1999 until 2002. Horn Kee has been a Member of Parliament in Singapore since 1984 till 2006. He was awarded with the NTUC Friend of Labour Award in 1993 and was decorated with the NTUC Meritorious Service Award in 2002.
Prof. Michael SH Heng (PBM), Principal Consultant/ Director Michael SH Heng is a Certified Management Consultant and graduated from the University of Singapore in 1980 with a BA degree in Economics and a BSocSci (2nd Class Upper Honours) degree in Sociology, before obtaining his Masters degree from the London School of Economics in 1982. With more than 15 years of senior management experience with local and foreign multinational corporations in the manufacturing and service sectors of industry, including the Board of Directors of NTUC Income. Internationally, he has also consulted for the Government of Canada on Singapore labour laws, and was appointed by the International Labour Organisation (ILO), a United Nations agency, as its international consultant to the Governments of China and Vietnam respectively for consultancy assignments in the areas of tripartite consultations in industrial relations. He has consulted for many large local and multinational corporations. Michael began his human resource management career as an Assistant Director with the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) responsible for industrial affairs and leadership training. He subsequently moved on to various senior human resource management positions, with local and regional responsibilities, in companies that include Motorola Electronics, Carnaud Metalbox and Reda Pump before starting his own MIKROS Management Consultants firm in 1992. As an Associate Professor, Michael teaches Human Resource & Entrepreneurship and Quality Management. He also teaches in the Nanyang Business School as an external Consultant. David Leong, Managing Director
David graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1994 with a Bachelor in Business Administration. As a marketing major with strengths in marketing and branding, he was instrumental in branding his own two companies- iPropertynet Pte Ltd and ManpowerCorp International. He began his career as an entrepreneur starting his own company INC Marketing Consultant in 1994 after graduating from the NUS. In 1999, David founded iPropertynet and was its COO. iPropertynet was a property portal and application service provider selling proprietary software. iPropertynet secured in principle approval to list on the Mainboard of the Singapore Stock Exchange on October 2000. In December 2001, he founded ManpowerCorp International and was its managing partner. ManpowerCorp International is a human capital advisory and agency focusing on middle level selection and search including headhunting and he has been the HR resources for the Straits Times & Business Times including Channelnews Asia on human resources issues.
